Dear HarmonySite administrator,
In the wake of the service interruption from a couple of weeks ago, we are making changes to the HarmonySite infrastructure, to make it more robust moving forward.
The first of these improvements has just been implemented: The harmonysite.com email system has been moved off the server where most of your websites are hosted.
BENEFITS
The benefit of making this change is: If the HarmonySite server hosting your website goes offline for some reason, you can still send emails to any harmonysite.com email address (support@harmonysite.com, admin@harmonysite.com, etc). So your support requests will be delivered correctly - not like a couple of weeks ago, when the server's outage meant that you could not email us to tell us about it!
Please note: This change does not (repeat: NOT) impact your group's own email system. For example, if your HarmonySite is located at www.mygroup.com, and you have email addresses like info@mygroup.com or webmaster@mygroup.com, then please understand that no change at all has been made to THOSE emails. Those email addresses remain hosted on the same server as your website.
DOWNSIDES
None.
The change has already completed, so you can send emails to any @harmonysite.com email address now, as before.
The only possible impact I can think of is that when you receive emails FROM one of us here, with a @harmonysite.com email address, those emails MAY start going into your spam folders. That's because the emails will now be coming from a different IP address (180.92.194.137, if you're interested). You may have already whitelisted the OLD IP address in your anti-spam system, but not this new one. So please check your spam folders regularly (which I recommend doing anyway).
